Erosion and Deposition Picture Dictionary
Using Publisher (86 pts.)
Background:
Most people think of the land as fixed and never changing what is here today will be here tomorrow and forever. In the perspective of a human lifetime, that view makes some sense. But in the context of the history of Earth, that view is not valid, since Earth's surface is constantly changing. During this project you will explore the forces that change Earth's surface. Flowing water, frozen glaciers, waves, and wind all wear down and build up landforms.
Task:
Using Publisher as your presentation tool, create a picture dictionary booklet (total 20 pages) which includes terms related to landforms created by erosion and deposition from gravity, water, glaciers, waves, and wind. You will have 4 days to complete this task.
Procedure:
1. Define all words before you begin creating your picture dictionary on the computer. Please have this done
before the first day in the computer lab so that you don't waste computer time. Alphabetize your words!!
2. Design a cover page that includes: your name, period, title of project in your own words, and a photograph of
natures beauty
3. Include a table of contents page that includes: each vocabulary word in alphabetical order and the page it is
located
4. Include a symbol page: each vocabulary word must be identified with a symbol that represents its formation
as a result of gravity, erosion, or deposition.
